Oracle is starting to be seen by German business clients searching for cloud services as a credible rival to the existing hyperscalers. This is one of the main conclusions of a new report that Information Services Group (ISG), a reputable international technology research and consultancy business, issued today.
According to the “2022 ISG Provider LensTM Oracle Ecosystem report for Germany,” the functionality of Oracle’s cloud offerings has caught up to the services of its major rivals, sparking fresh interest in the Oracle Cloud among German businesses. Companies in Germany are searching for service providers who can assist them in putting in place sector-specific solutions on the Oracle Cloud as result.
In order to reduce expenses for businesses, Oracle service providers must deliver cutting-edge services like data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation, according to the research. Germany’s cloud services consulting and service business has expanded dramatically during the previous year.
The report claims that Oracle’s cloud products are appealing in part because they make use of the business’s current advantages. For many years, Oracle has been a pioneer in databases, with uses in everything from accounting to supply chain management.
“As in the past, many companies in Germany assume that Oracle databases will continue to form the foundation of their IT systems”, “Oracle is making it easier for customers to move to its cloud services by giving them the choice to host their databases in an Oracle data center or on-premises. Both offers go the same way.”
Yadu Singh, Director, ISG Software Advisory, EMEA
The report claims that Oracle also considers the needs that develop in Europe with regard to data management and data sovereignty. In 2023, the business intends to introduce a cloud service that guarantees data sovereignty.
According to the report, Oracle is also the first cloud provider to offer block storage volumes that automatically adjust to altering system requirements. Users now have more options for fundamental infrastructure parts thanks to the new compute, storage, and network offerings, which also make storage network optimization automatic.
“Oracle offers its customers new opportunities to significantly reduce infrastructure costs”, “Against the background of these innovations, many companies in Germany are considering the Oracle cloud and are looking for service providers who can accompany them on their Oracle journey.”
