Touchcast Unveils ManualGPT to Elevate the Customer Journey with Conversational Handbooks


Using GPT3, ManualGPT turns product manuals into interactive conversations.

One of the first GPT-powered handbooks in the world, ManualGPT, has been released by Touchcast, a prominent enterprise metaverse firm.

Manual Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) technology, an autoregressive language model that uses deep learning to produce human-like text and answer complex questions in a conversational style, is a new tool that integrates Microsoft Azure AI capabilities, including text-to-speech. This enables organisations to take any product or service guide and turn it into a conversational, valuable resource. Once viewed as cumbersome and impenetrable, manuals and handbooks are now readable, interesting, and truly helpful for the average consumer.

Take automakers as an example: despite the fact that they are constantly innovating the vehicles they produce, information on their features and functionality is still restricted to hefty manuals. Although these manuals provide a wealth of information about the vehicle they are located in, most consumers are unable to access them because they are kept in glove boxes and infrequently accessed.

When used in conjunction with Touchcast’s metaverse experience, automotive customers can speak with a synthetic agent who has immediate access to all the information related to the vehicle, have a genuine, organic conversation with them, and receive all the answers to all of their questions at any point in their journey—even while they are driving.
